Request Role Transition

After initiating a role transition request, Permission Assist walks you through a series of questions. Refer to the table below for more information about each step:

Choose who is transitioning responsibilities

  1. In the Select an identity field, type the name of the identity or scroll down and pick the employee from the list.

  2. Select the Next button.

Has their title, department, and supervisor already changed?

  1. Select one of the following options:

    Option

    Description

    Yes

    Select this option if the transition has already taken place and all appropriate information (such as job title, department, and so on) has been updated within Active Directory.

    No

    Select this option if the transition will take place in the future or if additional information needs to be updated as part of this transition. For example, if the transition has already occurred, but the person's job title hasn't yet been changed within Active Directory, you can select the No option to update that information.

  2. Select the Next button.

Personal Information

This page is displayed if the "No" option is selected when asked if the person's title, department, and supervisor information has already changed.

  1. Enter information into each of the following fields:

  2. After all information is entered, select the Next button.

When does this transition period end?

  1. Select one of the following options:

    Option

    Description

    Immediate

    Select this option if permissions need to be changed immediately.

    Scheduled

    Select this option if the transition will end at some point in the future. Then, select the underlined date next to the calendar to pick a specific date from the calendar (see picture below).

    NOTE: If the request is approved, provisioning requests can be rescheduled or the date can be changed to take place immediately, if needed.

  2. Select the Next button.

When all information is complete, select the Request Change button. The request is created.
